Outsourced teleprospecting is not such an old activity. It is not far from the time when we could sell anything to anyone, and when we could pay salespeople (often sales reps) to go door to door; besides, there were few telephones (22 in Asnières!)
First by asking the salespeople to do it themselves. Obviously, it is part of their job but they are reluctant to do it. Then the sedentary salespeople but as luck would have it after a week it goes flop, the routine tasks taking over again! Finally the interns. Ah the interns, so young, so malleable, so "cheap" and yet we can entrust them without worry and without preparation this critical task of finding new customers for the company.
