Vodafone , Telefónica, Orange and Deutsche Telekom have decided to put down the swords they usually wield with ferocity in the competitive telecommunications market to jointly launch a new identification solution focused on online advertising. To this end, the four "telecos" plan to create a pan-European "joint venture" called TrustPid (in a clear nod to the longed-for and simultaneously trampled consumer trust). After presenting this "joint venture" to the European Commission at the beginning of January, Vodafone, Telefónica, Orange and Deutsche Telekom are expecting a response from Brussels in the course of the last few days.
The joint venture's goal is to activate its first-party data to implement person finland number data alized advertising campaigns . "The joint venture will offer a privacy-friendly digital ID solution that will support the digital marketing and promotional activities of brands and publishers," the four partners behind TrustPid emphasize.
The aim of the joint venture is to create an identifier in the form of an encrypted token that will be linked to the data of the clients of the different telecommunications operators and from which advertisers and publishers will be able to benefit in order to deliver advertising to their target audience in a much more personalized way.
The project was initially launched by British company Vodafone, and was joined last year by Telefónica, Orange and Deutsche Telekom. The companies involved in TrustPid are aware of people's caution when it comes to managing their personal data and so they deliberately avoid referring to their project as an "advertising platform".
