Debt collection – the size of the problem

Post by nrumohammadx1 »

It is not easy to offer a complete and updated picture on the topic of debt collection and unpaid debts to be resolved. Especially if the perspective from which one wants to start is the broadest possible one, involving all production sectors. But some reliable indicators, for the Italian ecosystem, exist.

The most important and significant ones can be found in the XIII UNIREC new zealand whatsapp resource report on Credit Protection Services published in June 2023 and presented during the last Conference.

Let's try, therefore, to extract some data, which are very interesting for our purpose.

In 2022 alone, UNIREC member companies managed 80% of total practices on behalf of third parties . Compared to 2021, the increase was approximately 50%.
Credits entrusted for recovery to UNIREC member companies also increased in 2022 compared to the previous year (+26%) , reaching an absolute value of approximately 200 billion euros.
The average performance calculated between amounts recovered and entrusted in the year 2022 is equal to 10% (-1% compared to 2021) .
In 2022, the average ticket for credits entrusted for recovery in C/III stands at €3,619 , a value more than a third higher than that recorded in the previous year (€2,643 in 2021).
Of course, this general “picture” does not take into account even important differences between different sectors, or between different geographical areas, for example. Despite this, however, the overall impression is very clear. We are talking about a truly enormous amount of credit . Difficult to recover. And which, moreover, in recent years has been increasing at an accelerated and dangerous rate.
