Text is the main weapon of those who conduct advertising campaigns based on SMS mailings. Your language should attract, arouse interest and, ultimately, attract customers to increase sales. We have already talked about the importance of copywriting for SMS marketing. Today we would like to go a little deeper into this topic. So, let's begin.
Imagine that the australia telegram client is your friend. Instead of being pushy, tell him about all the benefits of the product or service, while creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere and sharing personal experiences and impressions.
"Had a tough week? We know what will help you unwind! Our new spa opened yesterday, and it's right in your neighborhood. Visit our website [link] to get a discount on your first visit."
Use words that are easy to pronounce.
Believe me, if a word is difficult to pronounce, it is also difficult to read. A person reading a text written with difficult to pronounce words will simply close it, and your proposal will go unnoticed.
Compare this:
"Get ready for an evening of entertainment! Our venue has put on the most incredible modern rock show in the history of this musical genre! We encourage you to gather your companions and attend what will undoubtedly be a very memorable evening."
And this:
"Get ready for some fun! Our bar is hosting the best rock concert tonight. Come and bring your friends."
Alternate between declarative, affirmative and interrogative sentences
Declarative sentences tell about events, for example: "it was another stressful day at the office" or "now Jack really was lost in the woods."
Affirmative sentences state facts, such as “our bags are available in most major stores” or “SMS is the best way to reach your audience.”
Interrogative sentences naturally ask questions, such as "Do you really want to pay that much?" or "Why are you missing out?"
Try mixing different types of sentences in your text messages. Variety is good, but don’t overdo it. This will help you make the text more lively and allow subscribers to perceive the information better.
"Another business trip to Mexico. The language barrier is ruining your contracts. Would you like to learn Spanish?"
Use appropriate punctuation
This point follows from the previous one. Different punctuation marks liven up your text. However, there are rules here too:
There should not be more dots than words. Therefore, you. Should. Not. Abuse. Sentences. From. One. Word.
Do not use more than one exclamation mark!!! DO NOT WRITE IN CAPITAL CAPS. You should not yell at your customers.
Can your text consist only of questions? Or is one enough? Or are they not necessary at all?
"Happy Birthday! Do you like gifts? We have prepared one for you. You can get it in any of our stores with the promo code: 123456"
Copywriting is very important for SMS marketing, so you should think carefully about writing texts for SMS mailings. We will continue talking about this in the next article.
Write as if you are having a friendly and confidential conversation.
