Entrepreneurial and business minds
Fábio began the conversation by asking what the difference is between fronk oil email list an entrepreneurial and a business mindset. First, we need to understand what mindset we have or need to have in order to know how to act in situations like the crisis caused by the coronavirus.
In short, Leandro classifies the businessman as someone who is focused on management, adjusting team performance and improving processes. The entrepreneur, on the other hand, is focused on the future, seeks new opportunities and seeks to explore new paths. He bases his answer on the book The Entrepreneur Myth, by Michael E. Gerber, which, according to him, is the one that most closely adheres to what the brothers believe.
Regarding what they think is more viable, entrepreneur or businessman, the brothers believe that the combination of the two is the most interesting, since the spirit of the first is visionary, sees the possibilities, challenges the laws and opens the business. In a crisis, the two personas need to be aligned, in balance to find new solutions, contacts and strategies to deal with uncertainties, and this is the expertise of the businessman.
Another question raised by Fábio was about the learning process of the profiles — if we have the spirit of one, do we develop the other or do we look for someone who completes us? Everyone can develop another skill, but when we don't have time for that, we look for someone to complement us. Minds that bring balance and have the ability to manage human efforts in a dynamic and personal way, or even someone who can unite the two personas .
The entrepreneur needs to follow a path of progression, without becoming complacent, however, in times of crisis it is necessary to understand the realistic scenario and know when it is time to attack or protect.
