Independent expert on IT and telecom markets Vadim Plesskiy assessed the prospects of Nexus WMS in a conversation with a ComNews correspondent: "There is nothing wrong with the fact that X5 Group decided to develop its own product for warehouse inventory management. This suggests that a product of such complexity can be developed independently, within the framework of one company. Selling the solution to someone else will be problematic - other large retailers will also want to have their own solution. A good option would be joint work on an industry solution within the framework of the Open Source model, but most Russian companies are not ready for this yet."
