From zero to one and a half thousand orders per month for an online pet store

The online pet store had been successfully operating for several years in Moscow, and at the end of 2019, it decided to launch sales in St. Petersburg as well. The client asked us not to disclose the name, so we are writing anonymously.

Situation
In Moscow, the online store had already carved out its niche and was well-known. In St. Petersburg, no one knew about it, and several major players were already operating on the market. Another problem was that line data customers are usually reluctant to switch to a new online store. They reason something like this: "I always buy from one store, they deliver on time, I like everything. I don't trust the new store, you never know, maybe the delivery will be slow or they are scammers."

Focused on stocks
To make a name for yourself in a competitive market, you need a wide reach. That's why we decided to use several traffic sources at once: Yandex.Direct, Google Ads, Yandex.Market.



We collected campaigns for Yandex.Direct and Google Ads based on a list of pet food products that were popular in Moscow. And to warm up interest in the store, we launched ads with promotions. The mechanics were as follows:
