What tactics have you found to be less effective in your country/city/area than the general recommendations for local SEO? This isn’t necessarily “less effective,” but probably because Ireland is relatively small and none of the major local SEO aggregators like Yext, Whitespark, or MozLocal have penetrated the market with a decent offering, there is much less Google My Business spam here than in the US or UK.

Any new features or enhancements that are introduced to the ever-changing GMB landscape are implemented as quickly as possible, such as check-in and check-out times that were recently released within GMB but are not yet publicly available.


One company we don’t have a relationship with but that does great work locally is Epic Immigration Museum in Dublin. Google Posts haven’t hit full traction yet, but the marketers behind Epic’s account seem to be fully embracing everything available on GMB, such as videos, posts, business descriptions, and events (using Facebook data), which is great to see.
