#3: Email 3: Connect via social media
The third email in your welcome sequence should aim to connect with your subscribers through a secondary channel (preferably social media). This strategy helps you stay in touch even if they unsubscribe from your emails or stop checking their inbox regularly.

When choosing a social media platform for this connection, consider two main factors. First, choose a platform with an active audience, ideally checked at least twice a month. Second, make sure the platform has direct messaging (DM) capabilities, which will be important for future recovery efforts.

For most businesses, the best options are usually X, Instagram, or LinkedIn. Tyler points out that Facebook is great for the 35+ audience. The choice depends largely on your specific audience and industry. For example, if you are in B2B (business-to-business) business, LinkedIn may be the best choice. For creative businesses, Instagram may be a better fit.

When directing subscribers to social media, use a personal page rather than a business page. Testing shows that people are more likely to connect through a personal profile than a company page.
