What is Google Forms?

Google Forms is a free survey tool that is part of G Suite, Google’s full-featured office suite (although some people refer to it all as Google Docs ). The other main services included in the cloud-based suite are Sheets (Excel), Docs (Word), and Slides (PowerPoint).
Google Forms lets you collect information from users through custom quizzes or surveys. You can then connect the information to a spreadsheet in Sheets to automatically record responses. With Google Forms, you can collect RSVPs, start surveys, or create quizzes with a simple online form. You can share your Google Form via email, direct link, or social media and ask everyone to participate.

How to register a Google Forms account
Before you can use Google Forms , you need to sign up for a Google account (@gmail). If you already have one, you can skip to the next section. If not, we'll look at the easiest way to create a Google account and get started with Google Forms .
Go to accounts.google.com , click Create account , then select For me .

On the next page, enter some information — your first and last name, username, and password — to create your account.

You also need to verify your phone number so Google can be sure you are not a bot.
After verifying your phone number, the next pages require you to provide a Google account recovery email address, date of birth, and gender. You must also agree to the privacy policy and terms of service.
Congratulations, you are now the owner of a new Google account!
How to use Google Forms
Now that you have a Google account, it's time to create your first form. Go to the Google Forms home page and place your cursor over the multicolored plus sign (+) in the upper left corner.
Pro Tip: You can type forms.newinto the address bar from any browser and hit Enter to automatically create and open a new blank form.
How to Customize Google Forms
One of the first things you might want to do after creating a new blank Google Form is to give it some personality. Google Forms lets you customize the theme by adding an image, color, and font style.
Click on the artist palette at the top of the screen. From here, you can choose a header image from one of the many stock photos provided (or upload your own), the Google Form primary color , background color, and font style.
Click the palette icon.
While customization is lacking when it comes to Google Forms theme (other than being able to upload any image for the header), Google Forms makes up for it with everything it has to offer.
After customizing your form, close the theme options to return to your survey.
