Have you ever stopped to think about the number of suppliers needed for your company’s operations? The set of all of them is known as the “ Supply Chain ”.
But if something unexpected happens in this system, what do you do? The negative impacts affect not only production, but also the relationship with your end consumer!
Check out below how you can improve your supplier skype database and anticipate risks.
Supply chain
The Supply Chain refers to the processes and the various paths through which products pass, from the collection of raw materials to delivery. In other words, it goes from inputs to products, transportation, sales and distribution to customers.
And when dealing with several complex processes, they need to be very well aligned to avoid problems in production/service provision. Therefore, we can say that the Supply Chain is divided into the following stages:
Purchase of raw materials: This involves the acquisition of all the inputs necessary to manufacture a product or provide a service, and even the machinery for this purpose.
Inventory management: Is there a period of the year when your product is sold more? Being aware of seasonality is very important to detect possible gaps in your inventory and distribution .
Logistics planning : The entire journey between the company and its customer. It can rely on external suppliers (a transport company or the Post Office, for example), or it can be carried out by your own team.
Product management: Here, the goal is to optimize production, delivering products and services that are increasingly suited to the customer's needs. If your customer is dissatisfied with an item, you can change the raw material, for example. The same applies if the product needs to be more durable or have a better design – the evolution process must be constant!
