The key to a data-driven company is a comprehensive change in: business culture, governance and management of data and technology.
It's nothing new that companies use data to gain efficiency and innovate. But that alone is not enough: if organizations want to survive the competition and achieve the much-desired analytical advantage, they need to update their strategy and culture towards a data-driven one .

So-called data-driven companies pursue the liberalization of data in order to extract the most from what constitutes the main asset of any organization. And this has been proven to result in greater growth and profits.

So, how do you become a data-driven company ? The key to a data-driven company is a comprehensive change in these three pillars: business culture, data governance and management , and technology. Only by implementing them together can we achieve the best results.

Culture, technology and data-driven management
The importance of data analysis and management must be understood within this context in order to remain competitive in a changing environment. To do so, it is the people within the organization who must look after this data and use it to make their decisions. This is why we speak of a " data-driven culture ".

Achieving a data-driven culture requires a commitment from the company's management and from there, work with all teams to adopt metrics and best practices regarding data care and use. This is how we achieve what has been called data democratization, as it encompasses the entire organization.

In addition, it requires a system that provides the maximum freedom of data. Ultimately, it provides analytical tools and human resources capable of treating the data appropriately and ensuring its quality and reliability .

A combination of efforts in the right direction would be of little use if we did not have computer programs and processes that enable and protect the processing, management, and analysis of data.

Today, thanks to technological innovation, it is possible to process all kinds of information, both big data and structured data, stored in conventional warehouses or unstructured data. The ever-growing universe of data and the possibility of analyzing it on a large scale have been called Big Data .
