Tatarstan retailers and medical institutions transfer data to the cloud

Post by tanjimajuha20 »

PJSC Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has calculated the number of Russian companies that have migrated SAP systems to the CloudMTS cloud. Over the past year and a half (from September 2022 to February 2024), their number has doubled. Costs for such a service over the same period have increased by 1.9 times. At the same time, in January-February 2024, 1.8 times more enterprises showed interest in migrating SAP to the CloudMTS virtual infrastructure than in the whole of 2023.

Evgeny Zavyalov, Director bosnia and herzegovina whatsapp number

of the Business Applications Department at the Russian software development company Reksoft, explained why the costs of such a service have increased: "Back in 2022, it became clear that due to the necessary investments in equipment, the prices of cloud providers should increase two to three times. In this regard, the increase in the cost of cloud services is logical. Prices for equipment and logistics, maintenance, and the level of salaries for IT personnel are growing. Perhaps customers should think about long-term contracts with reliable suppliers, which will allow them to receive special conditions for service and resources."

Demand for SAP hosting in Russia in 2022-2023 changed unevenly. In 2022, there was a sharp increase in interest in localizing these systems in the MTS cloud. But by the end of 2022, the market stabilized, and in 2023, demand for the service returned to its usual values. However, at the end of 2023 - beginning of 2024, interest in SAP hosting began to grow significantly again.

MTS has recorded a 50% increase in the number of #CloudMTS clients among Tatarstan businesses over the past six months. Demand for clouds among regional retailers has doubled, and the share of new connections in the healthcare sector was 34%.

"Domestic companies cannot deploy SAP in foreign clouds. Those who have not yet managed to switch to Russian ERP systems are looking for solutions. SAP solutions require large computing capacities to function, and they are easiest to find in the clouds," shared his opinion Alexander Fiks, product manager for KROK Cloud Services at the IT integrator KROK.

Sergey Obukhov, technical director of the system integrator X-Com, explained why companies began to transfer SAP systems to the cloud: "The termination of vendor support for Russian SAP clients forced them to look for an affordable alternative. The first to sound the alarm were those for whom the availability of critical services was a matter of business survival "in the moment." Later, they were joined by companies whose current licenses were coming to an end and the issue of further support for management IT systems was brewing. Transferring business-critical systems to Russian cloud infrastructures allows such companies to completely mitigate the infrastructure risks of the new era, while simultaneously receiving support from the hosting provider in accordance with the service level agreement."
